LIFT Study Launched: Promoting Fitness & Well-being in Young Adults with Cancer

SaRC-Q is proud to announce the launch of a new supportive care study: the Lifestyle Intervention with Fitness Training in Supportive Care for Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer (LIFT-SARC).

Led by Dr. Ramy Saleh and his research team, this study explores how structured, personalized fitness programs can improve the physical and emotional well-being of young adults living with cancer.

The LIFT study offers participants an opportunity to engage in supervised exercise sessions tailored to their needs and abilities, in collaboration with Big Daddy Fitness (Montreal). The program aims to enhance health-related quality of life, reduce fatigue, and promote a sense of empowerment during and after cancer treatment.

With two patients already enrolled, the LIFT-SARC study marks another milestone in SaRC-Q’s commitment to integrating research, care, and patient support across Quebec.

📍 Recruitment is ongoing at McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
